Nina M. Giglio, CSI, CCS, and President of HALL | Building Information Group, provides a description of CSI’s Compliant Document Program as well as the value of manufacturer guide specifications that conform to industry format standards such as MasterFormat™, SectionFormat/PageFormat™ in her recent article, “Understanding the CSI Compliant Document Program” which can be found in the May 2012 issue of The Specifier. While the program is designed to focus on the use of industry standards and good specification practices, she points out that this program in not a review of a product’s merits; the correctness of its technical information, not does it indicate the appropriateness of the Work Result for a specific project.

HALL | Building Information Group can help your company take the CDR review to the next level, by providing a review of the correctness of the technical information in your guide specification, including, compliance to codes and regulation, content accuracy, and appropriate or edit-ability for individual projects. We do take the time to review each and every product line and give a fair assessment of the specifications, working closely with your staff and/or marketing and sales team leaders to provide you with documents that you and your clients will find easy to navigate and user-friendly.
